one of the songs we played on last call with carson daly on nbc is gonna air tonight i think. according to nbc.com... that is legitimately where i get my info, you would think someone would like contact us or something... but yeah. im not sure if its oh, it is love or baby its fact. but either way AARON FLORA is involved. which is a special treat. QUITE a special treat. more so than the vegan chocolate peanut butter cake me and chels are baking right now. so tune in. chow down. suck face!

we just got home from playing a few songs on last call with carson daly at the out door mini concert thingie-dealie, it was a blast! im not sure when any of it airs, i'll keep ya'll posted but it was INDIE ROCK. REALLY INDIE ROCK. we played 'baby, its fact' and 'oh, it is love' and we had a horn section and my jenCo celeste (little xylophonie thing with resonating pipes) some electric air organs, an omnichord, vocals through a space echo, lots of delay. this is all stuff you care about right? you guys all know what electro harmonix is right? you guys are super into tape delay, right? this is riiight up your alley, riiight?

anyways, after we played fat joe played and i grinded the shit out of chelsea. it was pretty tight.

oh and writing songs is going great! im still getting my rig sorted (i just moved to pro tools HD2! yeeoo!) but ive got so many songs blossoming like bloomin onions with all sorts of dipping sauces. theres probably gonna be alot of horn sections and jenCo celeste's, electric air organs, omnichords, vocals through space echos, lots of delay. shya. basically. theres still more work to be done and if carson daly keeps calling me everynight, i'll never finish. but i can't wait to get these ideas out onto compact disc format.

i figured it was time to wipe the slate clean and get a little mini baby site to represent us while we get some new tunage done. so in case you don't know heres the catch-all lowdown on the HGB in the LBC.

* WE'RE WRITING / RECORDING for the next few months. i have a recording space at my house and im just trying all sorts of stuff out. gettin' sounds and melodies down and working on capturing the sexy. check the photojournal soon for photo blog updates and studio fun.

* WE'VE GOT A FEW SHOWS on the books in the next 4 or 5 months. mostly at colleges. and one high school GRAD BASH! should be lots of fun and a good way for us to stretch our fingers every now and again. and a good opportunity for you to meet our rad buddy travis who's playing bass at these shows. will he stick around? * IF THE WEATHER GETS NICE in the OC / LA area, we should get together for a bike ride or bonfire or something. lets keep in touch, you know? don't be a stranger, dear.
